In 2025 came the AIKON-IC, with “IC” standing for Innovative Craftsmanship. Now, for September 2026, Maurice Lacroix is taking that concept considerably further.

Six new references introduce an innovative carbon composite that mixes carbon fibres with bronze powder, titanium powder or coloured pigments, creating unpredictable patterns across every dial. Because the fibres and particles are randomly distributed, no two dials are exactly alike.
And Maurice Lacroix hasn't stopped at the dials. Across the six watches you'll find bronze, Damascus steel, titanium, stainless steel and ceramic, together with the high-precision ML1000 automatic calibre.
Three are limited to just 500 pieces, while three colourful Frozen Carbon models join the permanent collection.
Let's take a closer look at every new Maurice Lacroix AIKON-IC Frozen Carbon watch and reference.
What Is Maurice Lacroix Frozen Carbon?
Carbon isn't exactly new to contemporary watchmaking. What makes Frozen Carbon interesting is how Maurice Lacroix has approached the material aesthetically.
Rather than trying to create a perfectly uniform surface, unpredictability is the entire point.
For the metal-infused dials, fine particles of bronze or titanium are distributed through carbon fibres. Once machined, the metal forms irregular trails through the black carbon, creating an organic effect reminiscent of marble veining.
The coloured versions take a different approach. Shorter carbon fibres are suspended in pigmented epoxy resin. Differences in pigment concentration, fibre orientation and depth influence how light travels through the material, producing the crystallised, almost mineral-like appearance responsible for the Frozen Carbon name.
The result is important: every Frozen Carbon dial is unique.

If there is one model that immediately demonstrates what Maurice Lacroix is trying to achieve with this collection, it's the AIKON-IC Frozen Carbon Bronze AC6008-BRL20-730-2.
Limited to 500 pieces, it brings together a Frozen Carbon dial infused with bronze powder and a genuine bronze case.
The 43mm bronze case combines brushed and polished finishing with a contrasting black ceramic ZrO2 bezel. Even the familiar AIKON bezel claws are executed in black ceramic, this time with a sand-blasted finish.
Bronze is, of course, a living material. As the watch is worn, the case will gradually develop its own patina depending on its environment and the habits of its owner.
That means both the dial and the case will have an individual character.
A Frozen Carbon and Bronze Dial
The dial is where things become even more interesting.
Maurice Lacroix combines carbon fibres, resin and bronze powder. The carbon fibres are cut to 25mm lengths and impregnated with resin before bronze particles are manually sprinkled into the material.
The composite is then subjected to one tonne of pressure and hardened above 130°C before being machined. That machining exposes the randomly positioned carbon and bronze beneath, creating a different pattern on every dial.
Bronze indexes, faceted bronze hands and a bronze 'M' logo complete the look.
At 43mm across but only 11mm thick, with 100 metres of water resistance, the AC6008-BRL20-730-2 combines some seriously interesting materials without losing the everyday usability of the AIKON.

Things get even more unusual with the Maurice Lacroix AIKON-IC Frozen Carbon Damascus AC6008-K1C34-130-3.
Here, Maurice Lacroix combines contemporary composite technology with an ancient approach to metallurgy.
The 43mm case is made from Swedish-produced DS95X™ Austenitic Damascus steel, featuring a Concentric Layer pattern. Two grades of stainless steel are layered together before machining and controlled acid treatment reveals the structure within the metal.
The pattern isn't printed or engraved onto the case. It is part of the steel itself.
And because every case is machined through those layers differently, every Damascus steel case is unique.
One Watch, Two Unique Patterns
The dial then takes the same concept even further.
Frozen Carbon is mixed with titanium powder, creating random metallic inclusions running through the frosted black carbon.
This means the AC6008-K1C34-130-3 has two independently unique elements: the Damascus pattern of the case and the titanium-infused pattern of the dial.
A black ceramic bezel and ceramic AIKON claws contrast against the Damascus steel, while anthracite indexes and faceted hands keep the focus firmly on the materials.
Limited to 500 pieces worldwide, this is arguably the most technically fascinating watch of the entire Frozen Carbon collection.

Then comes green – but this is far from a conventional green dial.
The Maurice Lacroix AIKON-IC Frozen Carbon Deep Forest AC6008-TTL50-630-2 is the third limited edition, with production again restricted to 500 pieces.
This time, short carbon fibres are suspended within green-pigmented epoxy resin, creating layers of different greens, blacks and translucent-looking structures.
As the fibres sit at different orientations and depths within the resin, light interacts with each dial differently. The result is the frosted, mineral-like appearance at the heart of the Frozen Carbon concept.
Black DLC Titanium Meets Green Ceramic
Maurice Lacroix has paired the Deep Forest dial with a 43mm sand-blasted titanium case finished with black DLC.
The titanium construction keeps weight down, while the DLC treatment increases surface hardness and scratch resistance and creates the watch's deep black appearance.
Against that sits a green ceramic ZrO2 bezel with sand-blasted ceramic AIKON claws.
The strap continues the theme with a black rubber base, green textured nylon-effect insert and matching green stitching.

Carbon fibres measuring approximately 6mm are randomly suspended within pigmented epoxy resin. The position, depth and orientation of those fibres influence the way the material catches the light, meaning every sky blue dial develops its own individual pattern.
The 43mm case is stainless steel with alternating brushed and polished finishes, contrasted by a black ceramic bezel and sand-blasted black ceramic claws.
A turquoise seconds hand and matching stitching on the dual-material strap pick up the colour within the dial without overwhelming it.

The ML1000 High-Precision Automatic Movement
The dial and case materials may grab the headlines, but the movement inside the Maurice Lacroix AIKON-IC Frozen Carbon is just as important to the story.
All six references are powered by the ML1000 high-precision automatic calibre.
Maurice Lacroix developed the ML1000 in collaboration with Soprod, a movement manufacturer situated less than ten kilometres from Maurice Lacroix in Saignelégier – continuing the collection's emphasis on local Swiss expertise.
The movement is adjusted to an impressive average accuracy of -4/+4 seconds per day and delivers approximately 60 hours of power reserve.
It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), contains 26 jewels and provides hours, minutes, seconds and a date display at 3 o'clock.
Turn the watch over and the sapphire caseback reveals Côtes de Genève, snailing, blued screws and a decorated skeletonised oscillating weight.
It's a level of mechanical specification that gives genuine substance to all that material experimentation.

That's perhaps the biggest takeaway from this release.
Carbon watches aren't new. Carbon dials aren't new either.
