Maurice Lacroix AIKON IC Frozen Carbon watches introduce a striking new material identity to one of the Swiss watchmaker’s most contemporary collections, combining the architectural presence of the AIKON with an innovative carbon dial construction designed to make every watch visually distinctive. Introduced in 2026, Frozen Carbon blends carbon fibres with metallic powders or coloured pigments, creating random patterns, depth and texture across the dial so that no two examples present exactly the same appearance. Maurice Lacroix developed the material with a specialist from its local region, extending the Innovative Craftsmanship philosophy first introduced to AIKON IC in 2025. The collection is presented in a substantial 43 mm format, with references combining Frozen Carbon dials with materials including stainless steel, titanium, bronze, ceramic and Austenitic Damascus stainless steel. Depending on the model, Frozen Carbon incorporates bronze or titanium powder or vivid coloured pigments, producing executions in tones including black, purple, red and green. Sapphire crystal with double anti reflective coating protects the dial, while Super LumiNova on the hands and indexes ensures excellent legibility. Water resistance to 10 ATM adds everyday practicality to a watch conceived around progressive materials, Swiss engineering and bold contemporary design.

Powering the Maurice Lacroix AIKON IC Frozen Carbon collection is the automatic ML1000 calibre, a 26 jewel movement operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and providing an impressive 60 hour power reserve. Hours, minutes, seconds and a date display at 3 o’clock provide the essential functions, while an open case back with sapphire crystal reveals the mechanical movement beneath. Maurice Lacroix pairs these models with technical bi rubber straps featuring a nylon inspired texture and its patented ML Easy Change system, allowing the character of the watch to be adapted without conventional watchmaking tools. The diversity of the Frozen Carbon family is particularly compelling, ranging from brushed and polished steel cases with black ceramic bezels to sandblasted titanium with green ceramic and bronze executions combining warm metal tones with black Frozen Carbon.
