About B.R.M Watches
Founded in France in 2003, B.R.M (Bernard Richards Manufacture) has distinguished itself through a fiercely individual approach to watchmaking. Created in limited numbers and defined by bold colour palettes, sharp architectural lines, and a powerful, masculine aesthetic, every B.R.M watch is conceived as a true collector’s piece. The brand made its debut with the GP44, a model that embodied experimentation and the adventurous spirit that continues to drive the manufacture today. In less than two decades, B.R.M established a strong international presence, forging relationships across more than 20 countries and becoming closely associated with elite motorsport professionals and racing culture.
The B.R.M watch company was founded by Bernard Richards, whose vision centred on precision, detail, and technical excellence. Drawing on his own horological knowledge and passion for motorsport, Richards spent two years researching and refining the concepts that would define his racing-inspired collections. Following the launch of his first chronograph, he opened a dedicated Paris headquarters, where advanced nanotechnology is combined with hands-on assembly to create highly distinctive mechanical timepieces. Over the years, B.R.M has formed numerous partnerships within the motorsport world, further reinforcing the brand’s identity. In 2014, the manufacture entered a new chapter with the introduction of its first jewellery line and a series of four innovative timepieces to mark its tenth anniversary.
Each B.R.M watch is crafted with discretion and precision in Bernard Richards’ Paris atelier. From independently manufactured cases, hands, pushers, and crowns to bespoke strap buckles, every external component is produced exclusively for the brand, ensuring complete authenticity. Movements are constructed in France or Switzerland, combining reliability with high-performance engineering. Known for their visually complex and technical designs, B.R.M watches maintain an air of mystery, with much of the manufacturing process deliberately kept out of the public eye—adding to their exclusivity and appeal.
A defining feature of B.R.M watches is their intricate construction. Each component is machined separately before being assembled by hand, allowing for striking and unconventional colour combinations, such as black titanium cases paired with polished stainless steel lugs. While a conventional watch case may consist of just a few parts, a B.R.M case is typically composed of around 18 individual components. This complex assembly process means that B.R.M watches take up to twelve times longer to produce than standard timepieces, resulting in extremely limited production runs and reinforcing the brand’s commitment to exclusivity and craftsmanship.
